The fiber optic splice kit enclosure family of products are designed to fill a specialized application need. They were originally created to help close the digital divide that rural communities face by splicing together miles of high-speed fiber-based broadband cables underwater.

Product Description

All fiber optic splice kits are designed for ease of installation anywhere along the cable to create a highly reliable, full ocean depth splice with multiple levels of sealing protection.

The splice kit contains:

• Room-temperature cure polyurethane
• Splice tray
• Precision precast compression dams
• EVERFLEX^TM Bending Strain Relief or Armor Rods
• Split marine-grade, stainless steel enclosure (Titanium, stainless steel, and Delrin® enclosures available upon request)

Standard and customizable fiber optic splice for a variety of applications in any body of water (ocean, rivers, lakes, etc.)

• Paired with EVERFLEX^TM Bending Strain Relief or Armor Rods for the perfect, optical/mechanical termination and to provide tailored bending and strain relief protection.
• Compression dams prevent leak water penetration along non-bondable surfaces.
• Fiber optics are spliced and set in 12-, 24-, or 48-capacity trays. (Other variations available upon request.).
• Polyurethane fill encapsulates the entire interior of the enclosure.
• Isostatic nature of the seal (same pressure exists on all sides of the seal) prevents water migration.
• Note: Special designs including cables with conductors are also available upon request.
